Lawmakers should not be spending their valuable time on bills that do nothing to move the state forward and only serve to satisfy a few misguided idealogues with big bank accounts.
The editor of the Journal Record in Oklahoma City takes a balanced view of wind power policies: expiration of production tax credits in 2017 was "a sensible move" and some newly proposed pieces of legislation "are not good-faith efforts borne from concerns about public safety." See if you agree that Oklahoma risks missing opportunities well suited to the state's windy weather.

Oklahoma's utilities and residents have benefitted greatly from the state's massive wind resources, hopefully political leaders don't get too short-sighted in how they treat wind energy.
