Nearly nine out of 10 millennials believe climate change is happening, and the vast majority of those believe that change is being driven by human activity, according to this public opinion survey commissioned by the Alliance for Market Solutions. The organization's executive director, Alex Flint, says the survey's findings "underscore the need for policymakers to consider forward-looking solutions to address carbon pollution in way that makes a positive economic impact." About 30 percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions (the largest share) come from the electric sector. About two-thirds of U.S. electricity production comes from burning fossil fuels.
