    GTI Develops Novel Hybrid Solar Energy System

    GTI, a research, development and training organization, built a hybrid solar collector that simultaneously generates electricity and high-temperature on-demand heat. The high-efficiency solar converter features a double-mirror design built to capture sunlight energy, which can be used for electricity or storable heat.     A project team led by GTI to develop a hybrid solar collector that simultaneously generates electricity and high-temperature on-demand heat has met critical Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) project milestones.
