For Utilities, a Link Between Customer Engagement and Better Business
Customer service isn't that big of a deal for electric utilities since there's no real competition for customers -- or is it? A new survey by Green Tech Media Research and Energy Savvy concludes that customer service is important by "lowering customer cost-to-serve scores, and improving the outcomes of rate cases and other regulatory proceedings." Saving money, of course, is important, and spending a little more to offer good customer service, can prove cost-effective in other areas.
