I've said it before and will say it again: Keep your customers informed. The recently passed tax cuts mentioned in the article linked here are the perfect example. Customers probably aren't thinking about their electric bills as they relate to the cuts, but there could be some potential good news in the form of lower bills, if the cost of doing business for utilities declines. A strong utilities public relation department should be on top of these kinds of topics and put out press releases, editorials and white papers to explain what's going on.
