Good idea by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to remind consumers about the state competitive supplier program. As a Pennsylvania resident, I can attest that the program can be a bit confusing (or at least intimidating) to a lot of residents, so ongoing education is important. Never assume the public understands anything no matter how simple it might be.
HARRISBURG — As part of its annual “Prepare Now” education campaign, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission urged consumers to evaluate energy options with competitive suppliers as most electric utilities will adjust electric generation prices on Dec. 1 for non-shopping, or default service customers.
