The media is coming around to the idea that the problems PG&E is facing are more complex than they seemed and will have a wide-ranging impact on consumers, largely in the form of higher prices. That's an improvement over earlier knee-jerk reactions that immediately blamed the utility for everything. California's wildfires are tragic, but there are lots of reasons for the fires occurring that have nothing to do with PG&E's equipment.
