Sun-Net TOA suite’s online operation at MID

Sun-Net Consulting (SNC) - 01.20.2010

Sun-Net Consulting (SNC) announced that Modesto Irrigation District (MID) has now deployed the Transmission Outage Application (TOA) suite on-line. MID, located in California’s Central Valley, provides retail electricity and irrigation water to its customers and wholesale drinking water to the City of Modesto.

“TOA will give the Modesto Irrigation District (MID) the ability to automate the majority of its real-time operating documentation requirements into a single program, and in-turn, make it easier to run reports to provide supporting documentation associated with NERC standards compliance. Additionally, the TOA allows MID employees real-time, controlled access to operational information needed to perform the tasks of their position.” said Toxie Burriss, Operations Manager of Modesto Irrigation District.

“Sun-Net has implemented unique features for TOA at MID that are good for managing diverse tasks of a regional utility.” said Helen Hu, Principal of Sun-Net. “Features such as Reservoir Discharge reporting, Dispatcher Daily Shift log, Market Scheduler and Trouble Call are some examples of unique requirements that are addressed by TOA at MID. Such features demonstrate the versatility and extensibility of TOA platform for providing best fit solutions to the Utility Industry” she added.
