Energy Central - 07.01.2010

At the end of June, energy-industry analyst Christopher Perdue joined Sierra Energy Group (SEG), the market research and analysis division of global media provider Energy Central, as Vice President. A 19-year veteran of the energy and utility industries, Perdue is a widely respected expert in market intelligence and smart technologies, and has published more than 150 articles addressing a broad range of issues in the energy industry.

"The industry experience and analytical expertise he brings to the table allows Christopher to make valuable contributions to the utilities and vendors who rely on the market intelligence provided by the SEG," says Energy Central CEO Steve Drazga. "His excellent understanding of the trends and challenges shaping the industry gives him the solid foundation needed to lead this team of utility market experts."

Prior to taking the reigns as Vice President of SEG, Perdue’s efforts led to the development and assimilation of databases and reports that are used widely for strategic planning by industry executives, the investment community and government leaders. His previous work experience includes leadership positions at UtiliPoint International, Excelergy, DukeSolutions, Central and South West Corporation, and Gulf States Utilities. He earned a Master’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Belmont University.
