In January 2008, CheckFree Corporation sponsored its eighth in a series of online Consumer Lifecycle surveys of U.S. households that use the Internet to determine drivers and attitudes toward receiving, viewing and paying bills online. This survey was conducted through the Marketing Workshop and Harris Interactive. The purpose of the survey was to measure changes in how consumers receive and pay their bills, increase our understanding of why consumers pay their bills via the methods they use, show what banking behaviors are associated with paying bills in various ways, and to deepen our understanding of e-bill usage and its impact on consumers’ biller relationships.
