SAIC Discusses Current Smart Grid Issues

SAIC Energy, Environment & Infrastructure, LLC - 12.08.2011

When implementing smart grid technology, many types of information technology systems come into play. From advanced metering infrastructure to customer information systems, to geographical information systems and master data management – integrating these systems into new smart grid technology can be a major undertaking for utilities. Operations Manager Mark Fronmuller contends that SAIC's new Smart Grid as a Service (SGS) provides affordable and flexible solutions for utilities' smart grid needs.

"SAIC's SGS provides out-of-the-box operational maturity and excellence that allows utilities to realize smart grid benefits immediately, whether deploying one part of the functionality or an entire system," said Fronmuller.

Listen to Fronmuller talk about how SAIC’s SGS helps solve these utility challenges to implement affordable and flexible smart grid solutions in his podcast at http://www2.saic.com/audio/smart-grid-service
