CON EDISON LAUNCHES MOBILE CONVENIENCE

Con Edison - 12.21.2009

New Yorkers are always on the go and the No. 1 thing they crave is convenience. To make life easier for Gothamites, Con Edison is launching a new and improved mobile version of the company’s Web site. Armed with their phone, BlackBerry or iPhone, customers can pay their bills, submit a meter reading, or update account information. Millions of New Yorkers are turning their mobile devices into portable offices, handling business, making transactions and managing bills all while taking a walk, getting coffee, or waiting in line. That is why Con Edison, with its partner Usablenet, developed a mobile version of www.conEd.com. “Staying connected to our customers is a priority for Con Edison,” said Marilyn Caselli, senior vice president of customer operations. “Visiting our Web site through a mobile device is a fast, efficient, and convenient way to stay connected to your up-to-the-minute account information.” By entering coned.com into the browser of a mobile device phone, customers are now able to: · Pay their bills and view payment history;

· Submit a meter reading;

· View instructions on what to do in a gas or electric emergency;

· Report and check the status of electric service problems; and

· View and update account information.
