Provides expertise in nuclear energy, utility reform, development of renewalbe energy alternatives and energy efficiency, and public media access. Offers advice and training to environmental and consumer groups on media skills, strategy and access. Established in response to multi-million dollar pronuclear promotional campaigns by nuclear coprations and electric utilities to offset negative publicity resulting from the Thee Mile Island accidnet. Has produced television and radio segment to counter this pronuclear media blitz. Activities include continued monitoring of pronuclear media campaigns, production of additional response messages for broadcast and print media, expansion of links with alternative energy groups across the country, energy outreach media tours, and increased public education on vialbe energy alternatives.

Scientists and Engineers for Secure Energy (SE2)
