Mike Craigie originally studied to HND level in Marine Engineering and Oil Drilling Technology, and has accumulated over 25 years experience in power plant and related equipment.
Most of this time has been spent in gas and steam turbine installation, maintenance, valuation, marketing and relocation.
His company - Combustion, Energy & Steam Specialists Limited - was first established in 1990 and has subsequently developed as one of the leading valuation and marketing companies in surplus power plant.
The databases which CESS maintain on gas/steam turbines and diesel engines are the largest in the World and list all surplus available units from older used equipment through to unused, advance-order and cancelled-order power plant.
Mike has worked extensively overseas in the past in countries such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Singapore and Indonesia.
He has also been employed with OEM's and Engineering companies such as Solar Gas Turbines, Howden Energy Systems, John Brown Engineering, Van der Horst and IPCO.
He returned to his home in the Orkney Islands in July 1995 where he is now based.
