Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) announced today that it signed a significant contract with ENAMC, the National Company of Measurement and Control Instruments, which is located in Algeria. Under this contract, the companies will deploy the large-scale, C&I advanced data collection system over the next 18-months to support the modernization of Algeria’s electricity network and enable commercial and industrial clients to better manage their electricity consumption.
Both ENAMC and Itron are delighted with the signing of this contract, which initiates a fruitful collaboration in a growing market. Their collaboration is the beginining of a long-term partnership between the two companies. “Itron is proud to be selected by ENAMC to contribute to modernizing Algeria’s commercial and industrial metering system. ENAMC’s and Itron’s teams are joining forces to ensure this project is a success,” said William Hosono, managing director, Itron Electricity Southern European and AFM (French-speaking Africa).
