LOGICA ANNOUNCES ASSET & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SOLUTION FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED DISTRIBUTION UTILITIES - ARM EXPRESS

At the 2012 DistribuTECH conference and exhibition, Logica, a leading business and technology service company, will launch ARM Express, its new Asset & Resource Management (ARM) solution. ARM Express is designed specifically to target operational efficiencies within the asset and work management area for small and medium sized electric, gas and water utilities. The solution leverages pre-configured best practice business processes to significantly accelerate implementation timelines and reduce cost.

Logica has been implementing EAM solutions in the utility sector for more than 20 years and has gained significant knowledge of best practice business processes. Typically, EAM projects require a significant design effort to build business processes from the ground up, followed by an extensive product configuration effort. By utilizing Logica’s pre-configured ARM Express solution, clients can immediately focus effort on the areas that are truly unique to their business environment. This ensures that any modifications to the best practices are associated with demonstrable business benefits. ARM Express can be deployed in a modular phased approach and provides all the business benefits associated with Logica’s enterprise ARM product suite, including improved asset management, work management, resource scheduling and enterprise mobile management.

Logica will be demonstrating the ARM Express solution at its booth (2021), in the DistribuTECH exhibition hall.

At its booth (2021), Logica will also be conducting a survey of DistribuTECH participants that will query utility company goals. Questions will reveal the industry’s timeframes for implementing changes in support of sustainable energy, smart technology and optimized asset & resource management. All participants will receive a copy of the results as well as a chance to win an Amazon Kindle Fire.

In addition, Logica executives, Simon Boyer and Nigel Spooner will lead a smart technology DistribuTECH session on Thursday, January 26, entitled: Getting Customer Intimate: Improved Network Reliability and Energy Efficiency via Real-time Demand Management. Attendees wishing to hear more about how distribution utilities can leverage customer engagement to improve network efficiency should stop by room 209 from 9:30-11:00 AM.

And when attendees have roamed the exhibition floor and need a place to unwind, meet colleagues and discuss the day’s happenings, Logica will be hosting a happy hour at its booth from 4:00-5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 25. All are welcome to attend.
