In today’s world, biomass has become the golden word for utilities, municipalities and other industries that are examining ways to become carbon neutral or meeting Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) mandated by their state. However, converting existing boilers to biomass is not as simple as switching the fuel being burned in the boiler. There are impacts that need to be considered and addressed during the decision making process.
