PHI's Asset Management Group. In his present role, Rob serves as Chief Technologist for Asset Management and leads a group that is responsible for further developing and managing PHI's approach to evaluating new and existing technologies for application on the electric system. 

Rob began his career at Pepco in 1994 as the Project Engineer for Pepco's electric vehicle program and later became the Program Manager for Pepco's distributed generation program. In 1999, he became Vice President, Engineering for Pepco Technologies, a subsidiary of Potomac Capital Investment Corporation. From 2002 to 2004, Rob served as Corporate Strategist for PHI before becoming Process Manager, Emergency Preparedness in late 2004, Process Manager, Business Transformation in 2007 and then Manager of Technology Evaluation and Implementation in 2009.

Rob is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems). He holds several patents associated with the connection of an on-site power source to the electric meter, and has published several papers on electric vehicles and the analysis of electric vehicle data.

Rob is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and an active member of the community where he lives in Alexandria Virginia.









Mr. McGregor is the Program Manager for Pepco Holdings, Inc.'s (PHI) Advanced Metering Program. Mr. McGregor's responsibilities include deploying and integrating Silver Spring Networks Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) using General Electric and Landis+Gyr meters and Itron's Enterprise Edition Meter Data Management System with PHI's legacy systems, redesigning and implementing the impacted business processes, managing the change to the new business processes, realizing the operational and customer benefits associated with AMI and supporting regulatory filings in the context of PHI's overall "Blueprint for the Future" smart grid initiative. PHI, headquartered in Washington, DC, is one of the largest energy delivery companies in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving about 1.9 million customers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and New Jersey. PHI subsidiaries Pepco, Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric provide regulated electricity service and Delmarva Power also provides natural gas service. PHI provides competitive wholesale generation services through Conectiv Energy and retail energy products and services through Pepco Energy Services. Mr. McGregor previously worked as a CPA with Gunnip & Company in Wilmington, Delaware and Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Chicago, Illinois before joining Delmarva Power (a PHI heritage company) in 1987. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and business administration from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois and a M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. McGregor is a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified management accountant (CMA) and is a member of the American Society for Quality, the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Delaware Society of CPAs.

Mike Kuberski is an Enterprise Architect for Pepco Holdings, Inc. He is responsible for the overall enterprise application architecture for PHI, including its smart grid enabling technologies. This role helps to ensure the interoperability and security of, and the benefits realization from, the systems being implemented.

Mike joined Pepco's Engineering Group in 1987, and has progressed through a series of positions including Engineer; Supervisor, Systems Programming; and Supervisor, Voice Services. He has more than 20 years' experience planning additions and engineering changes to Pepco's/PHI's electric system, telecommunications infrastructure, voice communications systems and corporate applications. During this time, among other accomplishments, he drove the deployment of speech technologies, CoIP and Point to Multi-point wireless communications systems; administered the corporate telecommunications and voice data services; and designed wireless communications systems and telecommunications networks. 

Mike has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.


As Managing Editor of Intelligent Utility magazine, Kate brings to Energy Central more than 25 years’ experience as an editor, writer and researcher. She has covered both traditional and renewable electric generation and transmission issues for numerous North American publications over the last decade.
