Scott Buchholz
Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Black Hills Corporation

Scott Buchholz directs the information technology related support and services that provide electricity and natural gas services to about 725,000 customers in six Midwest/western states.

Buchholz also oversees all technology related services and support for other energy related businesses including generation, exploration, production and energy trading. His responsibilities include business applications, hardware/software infrastructure, information technology operations (data center operations, service desk, and desktop support), information security, voice/data communications, and database management.

David Mooney
Director, S&T Division, National Renewable Energy Lab

Dave is currently working at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) leading efforts to identify and address technical issues associated with the large-scale deployment and integration of renewable and efficiency technologies into the existing energy infrastructure. He is a 20-year veteran of the renewable energy industry.

From 2007 to 2008 he was assigned by NREL to support the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) office of the Assistant Secretary for Efficiency and Renewables. On the assignment he conducted analysis of EEREs technology portfolio to quantify energy, environmental, and economic benefits and served as technical counsel to the Deputy Assistant Secretaries and the Assistant Secretary. Principal among his activities at DOE was the development of a technology-based analysis for quantifying greenhouse gas reduction potentials for the DOE technology portfolio, which were used in international climate negotiations.

During his tenure at NREL Dave has worked as a physicist researching photovoltaic materials, as a project manager, and as Assistant to the Director implementing laboratory strategy.

Dave has also worked as the director of business development for a U.S. photovoltaic company where he was responsible for launching manufacturing and systems businesses, business planning, and raising investment capital.
