Andrew Bowden, Jr. is a director of information technology for SCANA Services, Inc. Andy began employment with SCANA shortly after graduating from college. He worked for the company for 10 years, left for a few years, and has been back for about 15 years.
In the past, Andy has worked as a statistical analyst, a utility rate analyst, a research economist, an owner and general manager of manufacturing companies, and a senior marketing analyst. He was team leader of industrial marketing for SCANA before moving to information services and technology (IST). He has managed several different areas of IST, but information security has been one of his areas of responsibility for about the last eight years.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in mathematics and economics from Wake Forest University, and a Master of Science degree in statistics from the University of South Carolina.

Ernest W. Gibbons

As Manager of System Control Computer Support, Ernest Gibbons is responsible for the Energy Management System (EMS) used by SCE&G for monitoring, controlling, and studying SCE&G's transmission and generation systems. He has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the EMS as well as for planning and implementation of enhancements and upgrades.
Mr. Gibbons is responsible for compliance with CIP Cyber Security requirements and other regulatory requirements associated with SCE&G's EMS. He is a participant and voting member of the SERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Committee (CIPC).
Mr. Gibbons has been with SCE&G for over thirty-one years and has extensive experience with SCADA, AGC, Interchange Scheduling, Energy Accounting, Network Applications and other EMS applications.
Mr. Gibbons holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.

Bart Thielbar

Bart Thielbar is a senior research analyst for Sierra Energy Group, the research and analysis division of Energy Central. Thielbar is also President of Itility Solutions, LLC, which he founded in early
2009. Itility provides executive advisory and consultative services regarding business process optimization and technology investments, including those related to the Smart Grid. Prior to forming Itility Solutions, LLC, Thielbar held various executive level positions, including serving as the Sr. Vice-President and CIO of NorthWestern Energy.
Thielbar also is a former chair of the Edison Electric Institute's (EEI) and American Gas Association's (AGA) Technology Advisory Council (TAC). He holds his certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association
(ISACA).
