Ed has more than 30 years collective experience in the electricity business at Elster, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, Electric Power Research Institute, US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Tennessee Valley Authority.

 

Ed was directly involved in drafting and lobbying for Smart Grid provisions that are embodied in the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007; the tax provisions in 2002 and 2003 bills that are the basis for the bonus depreciation provisions in the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008; and the reduced tax life provision for smart metering that was eventually embodied in the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
