A Q&A With The Smart Cities CMO
An interview about the applications of data and analytics within the context of smart cities to the transportation sector. From the post:
"During Hurricane Irma, we had a lot of cities that came to us and said we know this is going to have an impact on our transportation hubs – it will create more congestion so we want to make sure we are doing the right things and that the flow of traffic goes in the right direction and doesn’t create more congestion.
When we had the total eclipse earlier this year, several of our customers were located in the totality corridor and knew that people were going to drive and stop in the middle of the road to gaze at the sky. They wanted to make sure this didn’t happen and that they had the best way to remove this congestion. Our analytics helped them to resolve these issues."
