Microgrid Provides Electricity in African Village
EnSync, a Distributed Energy Resources provider, announced a project to deliver electricity to an East African village with no energy supporting infrastructure in the area. The planned microgrid consists of a 180-kW photovoltaic (PV) system, a 112-kWh energy storage system, and energy management software. By 2021, 35,000 microgrids will be deployed in Africa. What is your impression of using microgrids to expand electric footprints?
