India Joins International Energy Agency as Association Country
India, on a path to potentially doubling its energy demand over the next 25 years due to the country's population growth and stirring economy, has officially joined the International Energy Agency (IEA) as an Association country.
At a joint press conference this week in New Delhi, officials for both the country and the group said the move will be mutually beneficial and aid in the IEA's outreach.
