Possible tariff on imported solar panels makes the industry nervous
The US solar installation business for residential all the way up to utility scale customers is certainly booming. But a potential move to slap tariffs on imported photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, could severly disrupt the sales and service side of the business. Given that so many panels in use today in America are produced by foreign companies, the threat of this is even more real. Will this proposed tariff jumpstart more domestic research and production of PVs?
